Hi guys,
So, the gist is that the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF) nominated five (5) people to vote in the recently- concluded Confederation of African Football (CAF) Award, 2020. My dear Sadio Mane won the best male Player, while Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala won in the female category. The news should end there, right?! But Nope! We love drama too much😃.

Now, they have published how the Nigerian representatives voted in the awards, and alas!, none of them voted for Asisat to win. She actually won based on votes from other African countries.
On a good day, it really should not be an issue, afterall it is our prerogative to vote for whomever we think is deserving of a win, right?
Anyway, one of the representatives, who's also an ex female football player in Nigeria, Perpetua Nkwocha, did not vote for Asisat to win, she actually voted her as the 5th deserving person to win it, as can be seen on the picture above.

However, immediately they announced Asisat as the winner, she took to social media to pour accolades on her, talmabout how Asisat said she looked up to her (Perpetua), how the world is at her (Asisat's) feet, with congratulations flying left, right and center.
I bet she did not think they would publish how they voted. Hmmm...
To think of it, were her actions really bad??
Most Nigerians think she is hypocrite for hyping Asisat on social media, whereas she did not vote for her to win, probably because she felt Asisat was undeserving of the award.
Personally, not voting for Asisat was a personal choice which Perpetua and the others made, but I feel it was absolutely unnecessary to pretend to be in her corner and rooting for her when she was clearly not. I do not also think she is envious, as some have inferred.
That's how human beings are, anyway; smile, cheer and hype you to your face, the do a 180 degrees turn once you turn your back. They really do not care about you personally, we just put up a front most of the time.
