Vive la France!

Quoi de neuf?

Yeaa, I'm officially moving to France. Canada and Justin Trudeau are soo old school, Emmanuel Macron is the in-thing now!!

Good morning guys, so now y'all know that France has a new president, 39 years old Emmanuel Macron.
Isn't it funny how Europe keeps voting for young innovative people while here in Africa we elect old Presidents and Governors who keep sleeping at public events, and when confronted with pictures of them snoozing, they lie and said they were pretending to be asleep, LOL. Isn't that the silliest excuse ever? Pretending to be asleep! These men will never cease to amaze me.

We are all excited and happy for France and Emmanuel Macron; few weeks ago some of us couldn't see beyond his marriage to his former high school teacher whom he fell in love with at 15. You know how we love to mind other people's business for them. I guess we have forgotten about that now and are focused on his win. I wish him all the best.

Isn't it ironic that the same young Nigerians having erections and orgasms over Macron's election and win are the same ones that wouldn't vote for me or any young man or woman who contests for any election here in Nigeria. We still vote for the old geezers who are too set in their ways to realise that times have changed and their ideas should change too. When will we stop selling our votes for mere pittance?

Anyway, it's not just about voting for a young man or woman; the young one should have a good head on his/her shoulders too, with functional brain. We had a young 'ish' president who landed us in economic mess and raped our economy along with his sticky-fingered cohorts. So, it's actually about what you have to offer to the people and the positive change you're bringing to the table.

In other news, I'm glad more Chibok girls have been released, despite the conditions surrounding their release. Someone said they looked like older women; imagine being in the hands of terrorists for over two years, even I would look older and more haggard. I hope they get the psychosocial assistance they are likely in need of.

Have a productive day and week.
Au revoir!😊 👋
