Eid Mubarak! Humanity Above Religion

Happy holidays everyone.

I doubt if anyone needed this break more than yours truly. I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters a blessed Eid ul Adha. May your sacrifices be acceptable to the Almighty Allah.

From what I read, this Sallah is a celebration of Ibrahim/Abraham's test; remember when God tested his faith by asking him to sacrifice his only son, but provided a lamb instead? Yep, that's the same feast being celebrated today.

We're not all that different, we believe in God as the supreme creator. Isn't it just sad that security has been beefed up around the country because of this celebration? This is a Muslim holy feast and some Muslim terrorists would plan to attack their brothers and sisters, still in the name of Islam? It doesn't even make sense.

Let us pursue peace as there is nothing to gain from war. Look at the world today, and see the effects of religious intolerance. It makes you wonder how we got to this point. I still preach humanity above religion. Live and let live. Let there be peace in the world again, if possible.

Stay safe during the holidays and always. Gotta find where to eat my ram meat. Who's inviting me??

Hugs...
